"How warm are your shoes?" "Are they winter?" "How should I take it?"

Ahtung! WARNING! IMPORTANTLY!
Let's start with the difficult one: clothes and shoes don't keep us warm! We warm them with our body heat, and they either keep the heat, insulating it or not. When we say that a thing "warms", we mean that the thing stores OUR HEAT!!!
The exception is things with built-in heaters or heating cartridges.
Winter shoes should be chosen 0.5 sizes larger, so that there is enough space for winter socks or an additional pair of socks (they are larger) + for air, which will help keep warm.

Insulation is NECESSARY for winter shoes!
The optimal weight of the insulation, this is 3М Thinsulate, depending on your tasks, is about 200 g.
200g + THERMAL MEMBRANE for moderate activity in cold weather and also for colder frosty weather with less or medium activity.
400g and 600g without thermal membrane - suitable for colder frosty weather or less activity in cool weather. But there is a nuance, in this case, the heater steals one shoe size in volume.
800g - It is practically not used in our latitudes, it is for the Arctic Circle for low activity in severe frosts or little activity in cold weather. For example, for long-term ice fishing in severe frosts.
        WARNING.
You can't use cotton socks in winter! Cotton does not remove, but retains moisture and the leg quickly begins to freeze, there is no thermal insulation.
According to the structure, the sock should have reinforcement zones on, on the foot, on the heel and at the nails, this gives more comfort. Compression socks are best. More comfortable wide elastic band in the upper part. The ribbed structure helps move moisture up towards the lower legs where it evaporates more easily/faster. Sock composition, combined 20-30% viscose. When using shoes with a membrane, just carry 1-2 pairs of spare socks with viscose (synthetics)
It is IMPORTANT to keep your feet dry at all times.
Even if your shoes are completely wet, it helps a lot to simply stop, pour the water out of them and put on dry socks.
You can try high sports socks, ski socks, which have the correct strengthening zones on the foot, thermal insulation. But you should pay attention to the composition.
Any shoes must be properly cared for, cleaned and washed from time to time (you can use ordinary soap or a very light solution with washing powder.) Skin loves cream. Do not dry shoes near open flames, heat sources - membrane fabrics lose their properties. Once every 1-2 weeks, treat the upper materials of the shoes with moisture-repellent compositions.
